We’re building LLM-powered workflow tools to support investment research for private market investors, used by leading private equity and consulting firms globally. The company is profitable, bootstrapped, and growing quickly, with a team of 30+ across London, NYC, and Sydney.
The Role
This is a high-ownership backend engineering role focused on building and scaling systems that power an AI-driven research platform.
You’ll work across backend systems, data pipelines, integrations, and internal infrastructure — partnering closely with product, commercial, and operations teams to automate workflows and improve decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Design and scale backend systems supporting LLM workflows, vector search, and orchestration
- Build data pipelines and internal platforms integrating product, CRM, and financial systems
- Develop automation and internal tooling to improve company efficiency
- Own systems end-to-end — from architecture to production
- Contribute to engineering culture and technical direction
Example Projects
- Customer Health System: unify product usage, CRM, and feedback into actionable insights
- User Feedback Pipeline: process calls with LLMs to extract themes and product insights
- Billing Infrastructure: build systems for complex B2B pricing and automated invoicing
- Internal Data Platform: create reliable pipelines and APIs for reporting and operations
About You
- Based in London (or willing to relocate)
- Experience owning backend systems end-to-end
- Strong in Python or TypeScript
- Strong PostgreSQL and familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
- Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments
- Enjoy translating business problems into scalable technical systems
