Job Description

SQL Server DBA | Azure & Microsoft Fabric | Digital Transformation Projects

  • Hybrid – Wigan or Rochdale
  • Up to £60,000 base + benefits

Ideally, you are an immediate starter or have a 1-month notice period max

I'm working with a technology business that has spent over 20 years helping modernise some of the UK's most important public services through technology.

They're looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to join a specialist DBA team and play a key role in modernising database platforms across large-scale public sector environments.

This is an opportunity to work on genuinely cloud-first projects, helping organisations migrate and modernise their SQL Server estates using Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

Why this role stands out

🚀 Significant investment into Azure and Microsoft Fabric

☁️ Cloud-native projects with a strong focus on modern Microsoft technologies

🏛️ Work that supports public services used by millions across the UK

🔒 Opportunity to gain or utilise Security Clearance

What they're looking for

You'll likely have several years of SQL Server DBA experience and enjoy getting hands-on with:

• Performance tuning

• Troubleshooting

• Database optimisation

• Backup, recovery and high availability

Experience with Azure, cloud migrations, automation or modern data platforms would be beneficial, but they're equally interested in people who are excited to learn and develop their cloud skillset.

You don't need an up-to-date CV right now. We can cross that bridge later if the role looks like a good fit.
