🚀 VP, Java Electronic Trading Engineer | London


Currently partnering with a rapidly growing electronic trading firm looking to expand its core trading technology team in London.


This role sits at the heart of the trading platform and offers the opportunity to build highly scalable, low-latency systems supporting institutional trading workflows.


You'll be working on:

▪ Order management systems

▪ Market connectivity infrastructure

▪ Pricing and distribution platforms

▪ High-performance messaging systems

▪ Mission-critical trading applications


Key requirements:

✔ Excellent Core Java development skills

✔ Strong understanding of multithreaded and concurrent programming

✔ Experience developing low-latency trading systems

✔ Linux-based development environments

✔ Application profiling and performance optimisation

✔ Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently


Desirable experience:

▪ Electronic trading or eFX platforms

▪ FIX, SBE, or institutional messaging protocols

▪ Aeron, 29West, or similar low-latency messaging technologies

▪ Distributed systems and fault-tolerant architectures

▪ Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native deployments
