Senior Mechanical Engineer Building Services

Are you a senior Mechanical Engineer in Building Service Design and looking to work on some exciting projects? Do you want a contract role with variety?
You could work for a leading Building Services contractor, with a national presence with the following details;
Location: Liverpool (1x a week in the office)
Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months +
Key Responsibilities
Deliver mechanical design for major construction projects
Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions
Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams
Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.)
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality procedures
Support cost planning, estimates, and pre-construction activities
Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions
Support and mentor junior engineers where required
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
CIBSE / IMechE member (or working towards Chartership)
Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP)
Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects
Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
