IT Support Assistant - 6 Month FTC

Office Based - Gosforth NE12 8ET.


The purpose of the role:


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Assistant on a 6month Fixed Term contract to support the rollout of new mobile devices for our ParkSmart Maintenance application. This role will focus on the preparation, configuration, testing, and deployment of mobile devices to support field-based maintenance teams.

This is a hands-on, operational role ideal for someone with strong device deployment experience and excellent organisational skills.



What you will be doing:

  • Device Build & Configuration
  • Prepare and configure mobile devices for end users
  • Install and configure ParkSmart Maintenance application and required supporting software
  • Apply security policies, MDM profiles, and company standards
  • Perform functional testing of devices and applications prior to deployment
  • Validate connectivity, app performance, and user access
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or compatibility issues
  • Asset Management & Tracking
  • Logistics & Shipment Coordination
  • Track deliveries and confirm successful receipt
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Create documentation for users to maintain / triage 1st line ParkSmart issues
  • Provide regular status updates on rollout progress
  • Assist with initial troubleshooting post-deployment
  • Service Desk Support to Provide 1st and 2nd line support to employees, via various forms of engagement (voice, email and IM chat)

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:


  • IT support experience (1st / 2nd line)
  • Knowledge of device imaging, builds, and provisioning
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Understanding of network connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPN, mobile data)
  • Experience applying security policies and compliance standards
  • Strong asset management and tracking skills
  • Good documentation and process writing ability
