Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in London. In this role, you will lead the electrical design strategy for a prestigious portfolio of high-end residential and flagship commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Design
- Lead Concept & Detailed Design: Heading the delivery of complex electrical building services design solutions (lighting, small power, LV distribution, fire alarms, and security systems) from inception through to construction.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, British Standards (BS 7671), and industry best practices.
- Sustainability Focus: Integrate energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies into high-end projects, aligning with modern sustainability frameworks (BREEAM, WELL).
Project & Client Management
- Portfolio Delivery: Manage the electrical engineering scope for multi-million-pound high-end residential developments and commercial workspaces.
- Client Interface: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, architects, and stakeholders, translating ambitious architectural visions into robust engineering realities.
- Financial Control: Monitor project variations, resource allocation, and design delivery timelines to ensure projects remain profitable and on schedule.
Team Mentorship & Collaboration

Experience & Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: Extensive experience working within a building services consultancy or design-and-build contractor environment.
- Sector Expertise: Demonstrable portfolio of high-end residential (e.g., luxury multi-unit or premium single-dwelling) and high-spec commercial office projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of industry standard software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Revit/Navisworks workflows.
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Status: Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or actively working toward it through a recognized institution (CIBSE/IET).
