Job Description

Synapri are supporting a financial services organisation with hiring a Senior BI Developer on a greenfield data transformation, building a modern Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric in Azure. This is a key role where you’ll shape how data is modelled, governed, and consumed across the business.

The role focuses on the design and delivery of enterprise BI solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, owning the full lifecycle from data modelling through to insight delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Build advanced Power BI dashboards and enterprise semantic models
  • Optimise performance using Direct Lake, composite models, and incremental refresh
  • Design scalable models across Lakehouse, Warehouses, and Dataflows Gen2
  • Implement governance and security (RLS/OLS, pipelines, sensitivity labels)
  • Work closely with Data Engineers and stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting
  • Champion Fabric best practice and mentor BI developers

Experience:

  • Strong Power BI expertise (DAX, modelling, service)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern Azure data platforms
  • Solid SQL skills and understanding of data architecture (e.g. Medallion)

This is a great opportunity to step into a platform-shaping role with real influence, working on modern technologies in a growing data environment.
