Solutions Designer

Solutions Designer Permanent | Glasgow or Edinburgh | Hybrid working

A leading, technology‑driven organisation is embarking on a major modernisation journey and is seeking an experienced Solutions Designer to help shape and deliver its product strategy.

This role is ideal for someone with a full‑stack development background who has transitioned into solution design/architecture, and who thrives on working closely with developers to bring new products and features to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of end‑to‑end solutions, integrations, and application architectures
• Partner with business analysts and developers to translate requirements into clear, actionable technical designs
• Work hands‑on with engineering teams to shape and deliver new features and product enhancements
• Define data flows and integration patterns for a modern data platform
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders
• Contribute to and influence the organisation’s long‑term technology strategy

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong full‑stack development background, now focused on solution design
• Deep experience across Microsoft technologies
• Cloud architecture expertise (Azure preferred)
• SaaS and cloud‑native platform knowledge
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality technical designs and collaborate effectively with developers
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non‑technical stakeholders
