Job Description

Specialist Creative Project Manager (Bids) - Birmingham, Hybrid, Full-time, Salary (£comp)

A leading global engineering and professional services organisation is seeking a Bids Project Manager to join its in-house creative design agency, supporting high-profile infrastructure, transportation, energy, and built environment bids. This role would suit a Creative Project Manager, who has either enjoyed working on presentation/tender/pitch/bids creative development in their experience to date, or similar perhaps in branded corporate reporting. You’ll join a highly regarded, multidisciplinary in-house team of creatives and Account and Project Managers. The role is based in central Birmingham and offers hybrid working on-site 3 days per week, and a great suite of benefits.

About the role:

The role sits at the centre of bid strategy, creative delivery, and stakeholder management, overseeing the end-to-end coordination of visually compelling, deadline-driven submissions for major UK and international opportunities.

Working closely with bid leaders in the Middle-East, technical subject matter experts, designers, and senior stakeholders, the Bids Project Manager is responsible for:

  • The Bids /Proposal Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering the design and physical document element of the Bids process, to support the organisation’s growth strategy.
  • Act as the central point of contact for Middle East clients, but based in the UK.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Work with the Design and Artwork team on Look & Feel, Messaging, Infographics, Layout and final artwork – managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Facilitate alignment between regional and global teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Drive the adoption of tools and technologies that improve collaboration and project tracking.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address them proactively.
  • Monitor and report on project performance using KPIs and dashboards.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform future creative strategies.
  • You will be UK based, but you will be working directly with their team based in Dubai, working with Middle East clients. This role will mean working slightly different hours, between 7-8am and 3-4pm.

About you:

  • Proven experience managing the creative and production element of bids/ tenders or proposals in an in-house/creative agency or similar. If you don’t have this experience but you have experience managing a similar documentation process (for example Branded Corporate Reports)
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing budgets, estimates and schedules.
  • Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value.
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional, global teams.
  • Experience of using monday.com would be a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience working with Middle East clients would be a big bonus!
