Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Miller Maxwell is recruiting on behalf of a leading electronic trading firm seeking to hire a Senior Frontend Software Engineer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to take ownership of front‑end development across a range of high‑performance trading platforms. The successful Senior Frontend Software Engineer will work closely with front‑office traders, research teams and collaborate with experienced Java and Python developers to build high-performance systems.

As the Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will:

• Develop complex front‑end applications using React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Build real‑time, data‑driven user interfaces for high‑performance trading systems
• Collaborate with backend teams working with Java and Python
• Define and maintain UI architecture, coding standards and best practices
• Work directly with traders and business users to turn detailed requirements into intuitive UI solutions
• Play a key role in shaping the long‑term front‑end engineering strategy

Experience required for the Senior Frontend Software Engineer:

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or another STEM subject
• Commercial experience gained within an electronic trading or high‑performance software environment
• Proven production experience with React and JavaScript
• GraphQL experience.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript for large‑scale applications
• Experience building real‑time or data‑intensive user interfaces
• Additional exposure to Java or Python
